James Henley in high school was contacted to be in that Sports Illustrated or ESPN top 100 recruits coming out of high school. I remember reading letters of guys in the NFL that were hand written to James trying to get him to go to their alma. Henley holds the record for being the only person ever to run for 1,000 yards every year of high school in WNY. He finished in the top 10 for voting for WNY MVP four times. Missing 3 games he Jr year and 4 his SR prevented him from winning it. Only played ten game seasons. He still won the championship both years and was MVP of those games. He was contacted by all the top 25 schools, Miami, Ohio State, Penn St. etc.
His head was in the streets so he went no where. Got shot twice in both legs and realized that he needed to make a turn around. He did and is now try to reach his full potential. Ted Cotrell is the head coach of the UFL team based out NYC and he came to one of our practices to watch James and was impressed. James would of had a tryout right after our season had he not been injured and missed the rest of the season. He is still recovering and can not even lift weights yet.
In 2008 his first season in semi pro he ran for 1500 and had 150 receiving. and something like 15 TD's, he didnt play most of the second half of games and was ususally around the 10 carry a game mark. He never complained about not getting the ball. Ever. I asked him before about if he cared and he said he dont care how many times he gets the ball as long as we win. he dont care if tis 2-0. he jsut wants to win. i was the OC in 08 and he could of rushed for 2000 easily. he had one game where he had 20 carries and that was agaisnt the WV Gladiators and he went for 302 and 4tds and played with a pull hamstring.
Henley is in the top 5 on our team for speed but he doesnt ever look like he is running fast cuz he is 5'11 245.
i am going to have a highlight tape up of our 09 season but it isnt done yet. here is a link of the dynasty against the pride in 08 and a few others. the quality isnt very good but enjoy.

I gotta go with coach on this one, at right tackle all year its been a revolving door. We Lost our left tackle mid-season. And in the Championship game We lost our starting left guard for most of the game. And Myself the starting right guard went down towards the end. But douse never blasted any of our Oline all season He just did his thing.
what it all comes down to is the execution of the offensive line! a mediocre back can look good with a good o-line (example washington redskins timmy smith in super bowl with the hogs) thats just my two cents...
big tim
You make a valuable point.Fact:In the MCFL championship game our whole offensive line went down with the exception of our center. Douse adjusted to the 8 man front it may not look like it until you go back and look at the game stats.Reason why Douse should be considered a top back.A few noted bulletins: He led the MCFL in rushing two yrs in a row ...he has great hands out the backfield check the stats ...he can block (pick up blitzes)...he dose play the Joey Porter role with his trash talking...but most important he never complained about his line he just kept playing vs Kings Comets(who was a relentless beast all year long!).As I indicated in my previous thread Ohio has a lot of great backs and that's my opinon.
